MEDUSA introduces a novel use of MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) radar systems for contact-free vital sign monitoring. Highlights include: \n- Development of a scalable, coherent UWB-based MIMO system. \n- Effective monitoring even in dynamic and obstructive environments. \n- Integration with a contrastive learning-based signal recovery model. \n- Validation through over 200 hours of testing involving 21 participants. \n\nThe introduction of distributed MIMO radars for biometric monitoring is a critical advance, particularly for non-invasive healthcare solutions. MEDUSA’s adaptability to the presence of motion and obstruction, and its improved accuracy over traditional single-point sensors, pave the way for broader applications in healthcare and safety monitoring.
